fda approves verichip

On Wednesday, the FDA approved the marketing of VeriChip, an implantable computer chip, to access patient medical records. The chip will actually store only the encryted 'key', something like the UPC code, through which the medical records can be accessed.
I envision a plethora of such implantable chips for a variety of reasons like entry into workplaces, clubs, restricted areas, even international visas etc.
Before you know, we will be collecting body 'junk'. And then evolution will creep up to produce these humans with grainy, 'bumpy' skin and the inability to memorize any number more than 2 digits long!

death

The Tibetans believe that there are seven steps in the process of dying and we undergo the same steps even during sneezing or an orgasm. Fascinating, right? I am definitely dying to know those seven steps.

bliss

Bliss is unconditioned happiness, happiness that is not the opposite of unhappiness, which is why it is so difficult to attain.

bush/blair nominated for nobel peace prize???

What have we come to? Peace, at what cost? I agree, I lack the vision(pun intended) that these leaders possess. They spent billions of dollars in decimating a country and killing countless people, not to forget those innocent civilians. If they win it, it is going to be one hell of a bloody expensive prize.

baba amte on christ

Spotted this gem from my favorite social activist:

"I haven't the arrogance to say I can carry the mighty load of His Cross, but I do try to walk in its shadow. He wants to carve your life like a crucifix. Every calamity is a crucifixion, crucifying your ambition, your lust. Each is a tiny lesson, and then the imprint of the crucifixion is on your life. What is your plan of sacrifice today? You and I, petty souls, sacrifice for our children. Christ sacrificed for tomorrow's whole world. Whenever I see slum-dwellers, with their hunger and poverty, that obscene poverty, I feel He is crucified like that. When I come across a person suffering from leprosy, foul smelling, ulcerous, I can see the imprint of His lips, His kiss. What did they not do to sufferers of leprosy in His time, yet the carpenter's son cared for them and touched them. That hand is an emblem for me, that hand which cared for the loneliest and the lost. The Christian is ... he who not only lights the darkest corner in the world but also the darkest corner in his own heart."

I hope he gets the Nobel Peace Prize this year. I have waited too long.

god inside

Like the famous ‘intel inside’ logo, I wonder what a ‘god inside’ logo on every human being, in a visible area, would have done to this world.
